Premier African Minerals Limited has appointed seasoned mining expert Mr Graham Hill as the company’s Managing Director, effective 16 July, in a move expected to inject technical depth and accelerate progress at the Zulu Lithium and Tantalum Project in Insiza District.
The company noted that it “may also subsequently invite him to join the Board as Premier Chief Executive Officer,” following the recent resignation of Mr George Roach, announced on 20 May 2025.
This potential appointment is subject to standard regulatory clearances under AIM Rules and the completion of Mr Hill’s probation period, the firm said.
Mr Hill is a qualified engineer with over 41 years of experience in mine development and operational management across Africa, Southern Europe, and Central Asia. He has held senior executive and board-level positions throughout his career, with a reputation for hands-on leadership and turnaround strategies in complex mining environments.
“Mr Hill is expected to strengthen the company’s technical capacity and enhance its ongoing efforts to bring the plant at Zulu Lithium and Tantalum Project into profitable long-term production,” Premier said in a statement.
Chairman Mr Godfrey Manhambara expressed confidence in the appointment, saying: “I am pleased and relieved that Graham has accepted this. I expect that his contribution to final resolution of the issues at Zulu will be marked and significant. Graham has wide experience that has direct relevance to our operations, and I welcome his hands-on direct approach at Zulu.”
