Verify Engineering is a wholly government-owned private company that was formed in April 2005 under the auspices of the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development.
The company’s vision is to “industrialize through heritage-based Science and Technology Development by the year 2030” and its mission is to “conduct heritage resource-based Research and Technology Development for beneficiation and value addition.”
Risk-based thinking forms an integral part of our strategic focus. As such, Verify Engineering has since developed, implemented and is maintaining an Integrated Business Management System based on the latest versions of the ISO 9001:2015 (Quality), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental) and ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health and Safety) international standards.

Verify Engineering is now one of the major suppliers of medical and industrial gases in the country. The company is also offering turn-key engineering solutions to the market. Verify Engineering (Pvt) Ltd has also increasingly carved out a niche in the design, construction, Procurement, Commissioning of manufacturing and power plants market. It has begun to launch out its vast works through its Special Business Units (SBUs). Some of the SBUs include, VE Gases and VE Energy.
VE Gases has become Zimbabwe’s largest medical and industrial gases producer by production capacity and thriving to be the same by market share and revenue. It serves customers in the healthcare, petro-chemical refining, manufacturing, food, beverage, fibre-optics, steel making, aerospace, chemicals and water treatment industries. The SBU’s primary business is the manufacturing and distribution of medical and industrial gases such as oxygen, nitrogen, and acetylene. Gases such as nitrous oxide, argon, carbon dioxide, helium, hydrogen, ammonia, liquified petroleum gas (LPG), will gradually be added to the product mix.
The high purity oxygen being produced by VE Gases, which has been certified by the Medicines Control Authority of Zimbabwe (MCAZ), has allowed the company to play a major role in the supply of life-saving oxygen to our hospitals and the region during the fight against Covid-19 pandemic.
Besides manufacturing and distribution of medical and industrial gases, VE Gases also offers a wide range of related industrial tools and equipment, accessories, and consumables, such as safety wear, medical equipment and technical. This augments the company’s product profile and ensures one-stop-shop convenience to its customers.
As an EPC company, Verify Engineering is now offering innovations coupled with world-class technology and best practices that provide efficient and cost-effective engineering solutions. It operates an asset-light business model that generally entails low capital expenditures and fixed costs, thus offering flexibility and scalability to meet its customers’ needs, provide integrated and customised solutions and respond quickly to market conditions.

For this reason, the design and construction of new plants is usually carried out on a turnkey basis, under the terms of an EPC contract.

The company currently employs over 112 personnel combined; the majority of our total workforce is comprised of professional engineers, chemists or specialists in their respective fields. International markets are already opening up to Verify Engineering. Recently an international tender to supply and install Liquid Oxygen Tanks to Mozambique medical facilities was awarded to Verify Engineering (Pvt) Ltd by its Ministry of Health. Major Projects undertaken by Verify Engineering (Completed and Work in Progress)
To date, Verify Engineering has successfully been engaged in the following projects with more in the pipe line;
VE Gases 50 Ton/Day Oxygen and Nitrogen Producing Plant; completed the Design, Construction, Installation and Commissioning
of a 50 Ton/Day Oxygen and Nitrogen producing plant.
VE Gases 2.5 Tons/Day Acetylene Plant: VE commissioned a 2.5 Tons/Day Acetylene Plant.
Chinhoyi University of Technology 120 Ton/Day Animal Feedstock Processing Plant: VE Projects is currently installing and commissioning a 120 Ton/Day animal feedstock processing plant for Chinhoyi University of Technology. [see insert below]
• Installation of 5 Ton Liquid Oxygen Tank and the oxygen reticulation system at Chipinge District Hospital. [See 2 inserts below]
• Design, Fabrication, Installation and commissioning of a 3 Ton/day Silicon Nano Particle Production Plant for Midlands State University in Zvishavane.
• 3 Ton/Day BUSE Sodium Silicate Project. VE designed and is going to install and commission the plant once financing for the project is secured.
• Small Grain Processing Project – Great Zimbabwe University. VE designed and is going to install and commission the plant by end of July 2023
• Mozambique Ministry of Health; VE Projects has embarked on a project to supply, install and commission Liquid Oxygen Tanks to several hospitals in Mozambique.
• Africa University Gas Reticulation System: VE Projects managed to successfully do gas (oxygen, acetylene & nitrous oxide) reticulation system for Africa University’s Atomic Absorption Spectrometer.
• Design and constructing a 3 MW Solar PV Power Plant at Feruka in Mutare, to power the oxygen-nitrogen plant and the acetylene gas plant for VE Gases. The project is being implemented in phases with the first phase of 100 KW already commissioned and connected to the grid.
• VE with its partners are developing 3 x 50 MW, 1 x 20 MW Solar PV Power Plants and several in the country.
